Night Safari 22/4/06
I forgot just how dark the place was... haha. It was IMPOSSIBLE to capture any of the exhibits with my phone's camera. So I enjoyed the companionship of my dearest Ian and good ol' Kae. It was so nice to be out wif them both at the Night Safari & also be with some great company (aka Bo and Ling Hooi)
Not that my cam was bad mind U... even Bo's Casio Exilim was pretty rested throughout the excursion. Ling Hooi's DSLR was the ONLY camera that even captured decent pictures and pictures of any animals last night.
The Flying foxes and Flying Squirrels were amazing. I swear, they were the BEST exhibits at the Night Safari coz they were so in your face and graceful in their flight. The flying foxes were worrying though... no one wants guano in their hair. I brought a scarf that I put on just in case haha.
The Lions roared quite a bit but we think that they were triggered to roar. U see the Lions will roar in response to any Lions roaring. So whenever the tram goes by, some recording of a Lion roaring is probably triggered and the REAL Lions started roaring in response. Quite scary actually listening to them roar.
It thankfully didn't rain. Our umbrella magic worked! I brought a golf umbrella for Kae, Ian and I & a spare foldable umbrella. I also had a trench coat in my bag and Bo had his Hang Ten brolly. Our theory passed the test again --- when u have umbrellas with U, it won't rain.
It was a great night out... thanks guys... ESPECIALLY dar dar who tried so hard to be there with us... I really appreciate it love.
